St. Joseph the Worker Defenders of Life are committed to educating, supporting and promoting the fundamental teaching of our Catholic faith, that all life is precious and has inherent dignity, from conception to natural death. We support all the teachings of our Church and we promote Natural Family Planning (NFP), to encourage married couples to embrace the beautiful teachings of the Church which fosters a deeper love between a husband and a wife. Our group sponsors several events to financially aid Mary's Shelter, a home for unwed, pregnant mothers. We provide our youth groups and our school children with Respect Life resources and for our parishioners, there is information in the vestibules of the Church. We hold events during the Respect Life Months of October and January. With the Knights of Columbus, we help promote and attend the March for Life on each January in Washington, DC.
Our group meets the second Tuesday of the month after the 7pm Mass in the Parish Center. We welcome everyone and encourage you to join us in our effort to have everyone believe in the dignity and value of each person, born and preborn.
